After Margaret and I had such a fun time at the fall hunter pace, we opted to go again this spring! This time, while I rode Rejoice again, Margaret rode her horse Jester and had a friend ride Ladyhawke. All Kennebec Morgans!! Jester and Rejoice have the same dam and Jester and Lady share the same sire. Unfortunately instead of a lovely late spring day, we had one of the first intensely hot and humid days of the year. It was definitely a bummer, but the ride was mostly in the shade of the woods and we had a great time! most of the fences were 3' coops but we found a small log and this hay to jump haha Until we didn't. 😑 We brought along a third friend who rode Margaret's older mare, Ladyhawke. I love the orange braids for Halloween! And the "three black cats" are too cute, although the one big cat in the middle just looks so THRILLED to be participating. ;) Oh, the things we do to our poor horses...
ReplyDeleteI LOVE IT! Dreamy looks a little less than thrilled about the whole dressing up for halloween thing, but you and you son have such smiles on your face! I hope you take one of those pictures and throw it in a frame to torture your son with. You can pull it out before he goes on his senior prom and go "you made such a cute cat".
ReplyDeleteAh, my horse is so good to put up with me! LOL! :) I even think she was a little mortified to be at a dressage show with orange braids AND Halloween garland in her tail. And OTB, you are SO right about pulling one of these photos out when he invites a girl over. Or a cute one of him naked in the tub. LOL!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots, BUT, I'll have to stand up foR C, when you go to pull thaose shots out when he is a teenager he will have my phone number on speed dial and I:ll have to remind you of the mud and water and the little problem at the national show in 2008. cackle cackle.
